I went as high as 3.5 stars mainly because the writing was decent, and the depiction of the toxic friendship that I mentioned was intriguing. But the mystery behind it all was underwhelming. -Heather B.

The Ice Beneath Her is as much a character study as it is a crime novel, and it hit me exactly right when I read it. -Heather B
There were a lot of moving parts to it, and some of the side pieces didn’t seem to quite fit. But overall, this was an engaging start to a new cozy series. -Heather B
